Silent reflux symptoms?

Hi - since about 5 1/2 weeks, our baby has been fussy all day. If she's awake, we are spending most of our time keeping her from crying and fussing, even when she has eaten, has slept, and has a clean diaper. During feedings, she'll sometimes drink an ounce and then start crying and look like she's in pain. Our pediatrician waved it off as likely colic but that just doesn't seem right and I'm wondering if she has silent reflux or even a milk protein allergy from me eating dairy. Has anyone dealt with silent reflux? If so, what were your baby's symptoms?

My baby has reflux... arching of the back, sour taste look, gaging, excessive saliva, regurgitate milk, it's horrible. Could be colic or gas.

Check out the book Wonder Weeks (there's also an app available in the App Store for like $2). It discusses the mental leaps that all babies take in their first 20 months of life- the first leap happens between 4.5 and 5.5 weeks of age (from due date). Our daughter went through this period this week and it was really tough - we even ended up at urgent care to make sure we weren't overlooking an ear infection or something. Doctor told us colic too but since then she has pretty much gone back to being more of her normal self. I really think both our babes experienced the first mental leap!

Thanks everyone. We saw the doctor today and he said it does sound like silent reflux (reflux without spitting up). Here's hoping the Zantac helps - it's hard seeing the baby so uncomfortable.

My two month old was exactly like this. I cut out dairy and soy two weeks ago and have already noticed an improvement. We just brought it to our pediatricians attention and she agreed it was an intolerance to cows protein, so until further notice, no dairy for this mama. 
For the silent reflux, watch for constant swallowing. Instead of spitting up a lot, they tend to 'regurgitate'... and swallow again, if that makes sense. I keep my daughter upright after each feeding for some time, and have her mattress propped up for sleeping and that seems to help.

Does she drink her bottles too fast? Mine was doing the same thing. I switched to a slower flow nipple and now he isn't fussy anymore after feedings ☺️

My baby spits up a lot and has a ton of gassiness. It's not an issue with the pediatrician because he is gaining weight and otherwise healthy.
I had suspected dairy being an issue and hadn't cut it out entirely but really limited it (no big glasses of milk etc) but yesterday I had an ice cream and then bam, last night was awful. Poor guy couldn't sleep and had terrible gassiness. I am going to try cutting it out and see if that helps.
Otherwise we had been using mylicon twice a day, making sure to burp often and keep upright for 15 minutes after a feeding.
