My finance and I have been trying for a year and still never could get any luck. We thought I was for 3 months on in but the doctor said I had a bad kidney infection. What should we do now so I can conceive

Ask your doctor about clomid and metformin.... Both increase your chance of pregnancy! I know from experience and struggling to get pregnant for more than ten years!

Do you chart your cm and bbt? That will let you know when you're fertile and confirm ovulation with a temperature rise. Barring any fertility issues it all comes down to timing intercourse to the days leading up to and the day of ovulation. If you're sure you've been timing well during this year you've been trying  and haven't gotten pregnant, it may be time for both of you to go to a fertility doctor to get checked out. They will also prescribe meds if needed, or sometimes recommend alternative measures, like preseed lube or herbal supplements, etc. Good luck!
