Diva Cup

i really want to start using a diva cup or a similar menstrual cup so i tried talking to my mom about it (i'm 15) and she told me that i wasn't allowed to because it's more complicated than i think and that i don't understand it and that I'm too young. i've done research and have been looking into it for over two years and it's still something i want to buy and use because i don't like the dangers of tampons and pads make me feel gross and paranoid. i also feel like it should be my choice what i use because it's my body and all. so i was just wondering what other people's opinions were and what they thought of the diva cup itself? i have a way of getting it on my own now so i'm seriously considering it. thoughts?
