My boyfriends mom and I were talking and somehow ended up on this topic and I am curious as to what everyone else thinks. What do you guys think will lead to a successful long term relationship?

I was friends with my husband for 7 years before feelings developed. But at the same time the sex is great too 😂

I think it has to be both. Or for me anyhow... sex is very important to me. For someone who doesn't place a huge priority on sexuality in their relationship I think friendship might cut it. If for you sex is the end all be all.... be prepared for lots of relationships that don't make it past 2 years.

My husband and I started out as just casual sex. I honestly met him, and had sex with him a day or two later and now we are married with a beautiful son.

Definitely friendship... he treated me great as a friend and I fall in love with him ... 
We haven't had sex in couple weeks because I'm nauseous 24.7 and he 100% understands.
