Is this a sign?

Since last night iv had constant back pain, lower back pain actually. It's a dull achey feeling like period cramps in your back. It like pulsates if that makes sense like a wave... stronger then softer over and over... it's consistent. Last night I also had period like cramps with bad tightening in my lower abdomen off and on. It kept me away all night. Today iv been drinking tons of water to see if it helps and and so far the back pain is just unstoppable .... anyone experience this?! My hospital is 45 mins away so I'm trying to just wait things out as long as I can.
