Have you had a Gastric Bypass? What were your results?

I am going to a seminar tomorrow to get more information and start the process.

Bypass was too scary for me. I had the sleeve. Basically they just removed 75% of my stomach and it's like the size of a banana now. No bypassed stomach. No malabsorption issues. I lost over 100 pounds in a year and with my pcos I was finally able to get pregnant. It's been a year and 4 months since my surgery and I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant right now with my first child. If you do have bariatric surgery do your homework and find out the pros and cons on everything. I went in to my seminar thinking bypass was all there was but thankfully my surgeon laid all the risks out there and I went with the one I felt was safest and most effective for me. My start weight: 295lbs
My weight when I got pregs: 165lbs and dropping. I was a size 6 at this point. 
5'9" 
I struggle with PCOS and I just love food. 
DONT GET YOUR STOMACH CUT. STOP BEING LAZY. 
It's called dieting and working out. 
It's f***ing hard. It's f***ing REALLY hard. 
But it's worth it in the end. I promise.

My best friends sister did last yesr.  She struggled with weight her entire life and was over 300 lb. Shes lost an incredible amount of weight -100 I think? - and is feeling better than she has in her entire life. Just remember that it's totally up to you whether you succeed or not but her results were incredible and she is happier than I've ever seen her. It's such a beautiful thing for all of us who love her to watch. I loved her no matter what she looked like but it's like as the weight came off the sun came out for her and she just shines.

Means big part of what you eat goes out of your body without the nutrients and vitamins being absorbed- this can cause malnutrition so once u've had the surgery you'll be on pills for the rest of your life to make sure your body gets enough of what it needs to function.

One of my friends passed away in September. She had gastric surgery a few years ago and had surgeries for her loose skin. She was pregnant and gave birth. She ended up having complications and passed a way a few days after her son was born. Had to have several surgeries done to repair the damage and autopsy/doctors  determined cause of death had to do with the gastric surgery. Do not do this surgery!

A girl I know did it and lost weight so quickly.  She's now very thin but has tons of extra skin hanging around her body.  It looks worse than when she was overweight.  Honestly I'd just try to lose it the old-fashioned way.  And I'm not being unrealistic either - I personally lost 80 lbs for my wedding a few years ago.
