Tandem or double buggy and why?

Toddler and baby, 2 years apart, so going to need either a tandem or double buggy. What's your opinion, why and what models do you like? Thanks

I have 3 kids ages 5 and under and I have one of each. Besides the side by side being light weight I otherwise hate it.  It's difficult to get through doors and narrow aisles. Toddler will be grabbing things in the tight aisle. Once baby is older he or she will start grabbing the toddler's shirt, snacks etc and toddler will be annoyed at the baby "she's TOUCHING ME".....no. Tandem is better. I have the city select which I like because it easily converts back and forth between a single and double depending on if I need it that day for my toddler or just the baby.

Side by side is more convenient, but getting around stores and restaurants is a total pain, so I say tandem. Plus, my son stopped allowing me to put him in a stroller around 2.5 so with a tandem you can use it now as a double, and then as a single with the baby once your toddler is over it. Also, we have an uppababy and my son loooooves riding on the skateboard attachment! I know most stroller companies offer them as an accessory now-- definitely look into it!

My sister had twins and the side by side was 1. Heavier 2. Too wide in public.

I bought the city select by baby jogger because we plan on having our babies fairly close together and this stroller can be a single or double and can even add a stand for a third child. It has like 16 different configurations of how the seats can be assembled. I've heard great reviews about it.
