TTC and wanting to give up

We have been ttc for 3 years now. I finally found out after ten years from previous relationships to that I could get pregnant. We got our first double set of lines in September. I found out it was in my tubes so I was given injections to terminate the pregnancy. Since then I have been un regular on my monthly. It has been almost a years and my body has not went back to normal. How long should it take. And has anyone else experienced this or have any advice. I am not sure that it is "normal" for it to throw you body off for that long. But I don't know because it was my first pregnancy. I have had my cycle but it is like every other month or every couple months.
