Screaming phase?

Anyone else's LO going through a screaming phase at 10/11 months? My daughter just started screaming a lot lately. At first it was when she seemed real exited about something. But more recently she's screaming when she wakes up a little at night, and during the day when she wants something either she doesn't get right away or she can't have. It's basically been her way of telling up she's upset or frustrated, instead of crying. Is this a phase? Anyone else go through this and what did you do?
