My boyfriend and I had been dating a couple years and I was on the depo provera shot. We were young teenagers and snuck away in the middle of the night to hook up. I had started my period and I wasn't expecting it.

I looked at his bloody face and was horrified beyond belief. I have never felt such embarrassment and humiliation before. He freaked out as well and started wiping his face with his tshirt. He looked in the mirror and gagged a little. As you can imagine we stopped hooking up and he took me home. He tried consoling me saying it was okay, I'm a woman and he knew my period was irregular because of the depo shot, and it's not my fault.
