Baby self feed/baby led weaning products

Does anyone have any tried and true products or advice for when baby starts self feeding? My boy is clearly ready to start & try to feed himself more. Maybe a special spoon or bowls or some new fancy gadget? We have the silicone bucket bibs that he uses to fish out his dropped cheerios. P.S. I read somewhere that sprinkling some grainy cheerio dust on soft slippery foods bits can help baby's little grasp when eating. That's the kinda genius info I'm lookin for!
