Photos storage

So FTM with an 8 month old. How are y'all storing photos on the computer? I mean like do you make folders for each month and place all photos into that file? Or just upload all photos and not worry about them being In order? My husband and I take photos with our phones. Is there a way for our phones to upload as soon as we take them that way im not having to figure out how old the baby was when the photo was taken? Idk I'm probably thinking too hard about this.
