Thoughts? Pregnant + wedding planning

My FI and I been together for 8 years and engaged for almost 2 years we planned for our wedding as of next year invitations are already out but the wedding is on our 9 year anniversary but I'm pregnant with our 2nd and would really love to be married to him this December before the baby..so we was thinking of signing papers and still having our wedding next year...should we just wait would it be dumb to sign papers and still have a wedding later on?
