I saw this topic on a news website and it really interested me. Should terminally/mentally ill people have the right to end their suffering with assisted death? Only under specific circumstances? Leave your thoughts below

My beliefs are who am I to want you to suffer? If you feel like it's your time then do what you need to.

Yes. Just yes. Terminal illness is just that, TERMINAL. If a person chooses that they want to end their life on their own terms, who am I to forbid them? As far as mentally ill, that's a completely different story....

Why?
1. These people are in pain. Like severe pain, or high on pain killers for their last few months, which should be CHERISHED.
2. They're usually grown ass adults and can make their own decisions
It's not fair to be like "I don't care you're in pain... you have to live, I won't let you pass on peacefully and easily... 
Why would people disagree with putting people out of their misery when they ask for it?

In cases of terminal illnesses so long as it's done with protections for people who may be at risk of being easily manipulated(children, the elderly, low income individuals, people with disabilities or mental illnesses, etc.) I am for it. I do believe that it needs to be 100% the patient's decision and that it should happen only if they ask for it. I believe it is cruel to force someone to continue to suffer in pain just to serve your beliefs.

You would put down a dog who was suffering and dying wouldn't you? Why can't we offer the same compassion to people who choose to end their life? People deserve to be treated at least as well as pets. 
And pulling a feeding tube and letting someone starve to death is disgusting and barbaric. I can't believe in a day and age where lethal injections are argued to be "too cruel" for people who have earned the death penalty that we let our loved ones slowly starve to death.

No. Granted, I can imagine how it would "seem" like the right thing in certain situations, but personally it would not sit well with me. Just because it's portrayed as "the nice thing to do", doesn't make it right and it is still murder/suicide.

If we can euthanize terminally I'll animals to "put them out of their misery" surely we should extend the same courtesy for the quality of life, for humans 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️
