I was taking 2mg xanax 3 times a day before I found out I was pregnant then stopped immediately when I found out I was expecting it was pretty hard to adjust too but anything for baby .

Can't benzos cause birth defects especially if taken during the first trimester? 
I wouldn't risk it.
