Is watery discharge really an issue ?

Question

I've been going weeks without thinking twice, but I was researching (damn it google) mucous-like discharge in the second trimester and read that that's normal, but watery discharge isn't ? 
Anyone else experienced in this ?
Is there a way to determine the difference between amniotic fluid and discharge ?

I just saw my midwife today and asked her the same question. Watery discharge CAN be a red flag, especially if there is a lot of it, or it smells funny or is an odd color. But it isn't automatically bad. I've been having small bursts of watery discharge every few days, but it's always been clear and didn't smell weird. My midwife checked my cervix today just to be sure, but everything was fine. Some women do just have more discharge during pregnancy, and it can be nothing. That said, if you're at all concerned, the only way to know for sure if it's a problem is to have it checked. Good luck!

I've started having this and was curious too. Trying not to let my mind wander. Cervix is closed. But yea it's different!
