If you work in the beauty industry then yes. I'm a cosmetologist so when I was in the salon my make up and hair was always done. I'm not saying that a full face is required but if you're in that industry you should look the part. 
Every other industry I wouldn't expect a woman to have on makeup unless that was her choice.

No i never wear make up i have no need to and im not going to for a job either if you cant do your job without makeup then you need to rethink your priorities

I don't know about requiring, but I can see it being highly recommended if you work in beauty/cosmetics. Just as a sign to the customer that you know what you're talking about lol.

I work at a hair salon (solely hair, no other beauty services are offered) as a receptionist and my boss will literally send women home if they show up to work without makeup on. I think it's screwed up. I understand we should look nice but it's absurd to me to require all the women to eat makeup.

I don't think it should be required, but I also think depending on where you work at (restaurants & so on) you shouldn't be allowed to look like you just rolled out of a trash can... and for some girls that takes makeup to look put together

I worked at Sephora for 4 years and we get gratis every month. It's literally a huge bad full of free makeup, hair care, skincare, and fragrance. The point of it though is if we love it we will wear it to work and then people always asked us what we used. So I would say only in the hair/beauty industry it should be free!

While going to nursing school I worked as a front desk receptionist at a very high end salon. It was required of us to wear at least 3 pieces of make up a day. Made sense to me. We are the first and last people they see coming in to a place where they are supposed to feel beautiful. I never minded. And to be honest, I still get up every morning and do a little bit of makeup to make myself up and feel nice about myself. I always feel I am happier and am more productive when I feel good about myself.
