Do you know if water is safe by looking at it?

Coming off a vaccine post, some vaccines can build antibodies for disease spread by water. 
   
I wonder if people think they won't be exposed to something in the water. What are your thoughts?

All bacteria and viruses that a vaccine would prevent against are microscopic. There would be no way to tell. Just like you can't look at semen and see if there is HIV, syphilis, etc in it

No.. I think you can tell if water is bad by looking at it. If it looks bad, it's probably bad. But in the other hand, just because it looks good, doesn't mean it necessarily is good. I think...

No. Anything that cannot be seen by the human eye must be tested and/or filtered for bacteria that may cause harmful damage to anyone.

I remember people used to say there was anthrax in the water if it came out foggy. But there really is no way to tell just by looking at it
