Do you take baths when pregnant?

Question

If you avoid baths during a certain trimester, I'd love to know that too. I live in a chilly weather climate and the only way I can truly warm up is a nice warm/hot bath. Hubby wants me to stop for the safety of the baby. I'm definitely cooling the water down but wondering if I should stop altogether. Thanks!

My midwife says, get out before you raise your base body temp. And any human who is not intoxicated will get out of water that's too warm before that happens. I like my hot baths :) I have cooled them down a touch, though.

My doc says it was absolutely fine to take baths as hot as I want them. Just no hot tubs. 12w1d and baby seems just fine.

Baths are perfectly safe! My midwife has always encouraged it to relax and easy and aches and pains. Hot baths are fine but obviously not the the point where you feel dizzy! I'm 41+3 and have had 3 baths a week probably my entire pregnancy. No hot tubs tho!

I use to lift my belly up to keep it cool.  I took the baths for my hips and legs and some back pain.  Really helped.  I also had water or something else to keep me hydrated during the bath.

I worry too much so just avoid it. Had to avoid it ttc too due to my fertility doc's advice! What I started doing to warm up instead is heating a rice sick in the microwave and putting it at my feet under the covers at bedtime. It is so nice and cozy, much like a hot bath, and warms your whole body up!

You do not have to give up hot baths just because you're pregnant. Just don't spend hours sitting in a scalding hot bath. Which most people don't do anyway.

I did... It's fine as long as the water isn't too hot. If it raises your body temp or if your skin is red it's probably too hot. I did closer to lukewarm but idk, maybe it could've been warmer... I was always paranoid during pregnancy lol.
