My pet died :(

My pet guinea pig passed away yesterday. I'm currently on vacation in Hawaii and i got the text from my dad when i landed here that he found her dead. It completely destroyed me and now i'm not even enjoying my vacation here. I'm currently 18 and i've had my guinea pig since I was 11. She was my first pet and shes been with me through a lot. I can't believe she's gone and i didn't realize losing a pet could hurt so much. i cant stop crying and i don't know what to do. any advice on how to get over the loss of a pet would be greatly appreciated. thank you
