It's national epilepsy day!!!! Here is my Facebook status that I rarely update😂 Wear purple today if you can and try to learn something about epilepsy..it's so common, has no cure and needs support as do the amazing people that have it!!

I would if I had purple but I do have seizure but been free since Nov 2014 working on 6 month free so I can drive again.

My dad might have epilepsy. He had a seizure in an Applebee's that terrified me to death. He started spinning around in circles and i grabbed him, screaming "dad!" (Im bigger than him) and helped hin to the floor. Then another in the ER before they transfered him to a hospital with a neurology unit. 2 days after he got out of the best hospital in our state, he had every single textbook symptom of a stroke except for facial drooping. So he went right back to that hospital. They thought he might have epilepsy, but now that he's on medication he's been symptom free since the beginning of March. I have been his main caretaker and I'll tell ya, between his heart attack and heart surgery that went wrong (he went back into surgery a few hours after he got out) he has put me through a lot! I didn't know about this, but I will definitely be wearing purple!! Good luck and I hope they find a cure!! 💜
