Omg !!!!!!

I have been on Af for about 22 days bleeding heavy come on an then off later the night . I went to the hospital with my fiancé because was having mild pain an lots of bleeding an as I get in the room they check me out run some test on me an say I have fibroids a very small one . Could this be why it's taking so long for me to get pregnant ? He said it doesn't prevent me from having kids but how long have I had this could I have waited to long to do some about it that it's taking me longer to get pregnant ? Do I ovulate an still bleed or I don't ovulate at all is this even a real period an I'm just bleeding for the hell of it ? This is so stressful all I ask is for a baby an then if it's not one thing it's another . I'm healthy not overweight I go to the gym I'm young-21- only damage I ever did to my body was birth control .
