Birth control

I was on the birth control for about 7 years. Went off of it for 2 years and went back on it for another 3 years. 3 months ago, I went off of it, I want to start a family with my boyfriend who I love so much. This month on the 24, will be 4 months. I started taking 1 a day vitamins. Been having sex everyday or every other day. Abt a week ago, I was 4 days late for my period, hoping I would be pregnant. I got my period. So I'm starting all over again and is there any way that I could do to get me pregnant? I just hope the birth control didn't ruined my chances of having kids in the future.
