New shoes, don't know what to wear with them?

So I brought these shoes a few weeks ago. I'm want to wear them to go clubbing for my friends birthday, but I'm stuck on what style/colour dress I can wear with them. I was thinking a black dress obviously but most of the black dresses I've seen look too "formal" to go clubbing in. I didn't know if I'd be able to get away with wearing any other colour dress? Or if anyone had any idea of what style of dress I could wear?
