Highchair?

Question

So we want to start BLW in a month when our boy will be 6 months old.
I've heard I should sit my baby in the highchair for a few weeks to get him used to the chair before trying BLW?
But the highchair says it can't be used until baby can sit unsupported? 
Though it has reclining positions that look like they are meant for younger babies? Confused!
When will you/did you start sitting your baby in their highchair?

started using our high chair at 4 months... my baby girl still needs help sitting up. in the fully upright position she sits fairly well in her high chair

We've been putting our LO in her high chairs for months while I make dinner or do chores in the kitchen. It has 3 recline settings and over time we've brought her more into an upright position. She can only sit up with assistance, but it has a 5 point harness so it doesn't worry me. She LOVES being up near eye level with me and I just put a couple toys on the tray for her to play with.

I've put LO in hers for a few weeks and she can't sit unsupported yet. She can sit in our laps, has great control, etc and does fine in the high chair
