Pregnancy test question!

I would love to hear from some of you, please! Has anyone ever gotten a negative result with the EARLY detection tests, and then went on to have a positive on day of missed period or even a few days after? In other words, I feel like I'm already out this month because I chose an early detection pregnancy test ("first response 6 days before your missed period") and it's negative. I am about 4 days out from my period being due. I have quite a few symptoms that are not the norm for me-sore boobs, veiny boobs, period like cramping about 4 days ago, tingling sensation in breasts, aching breasts....etc. these symptoms have been on going for a week now. I'm so confused........
