Six month growth spurt?

My lil babe is sleeping so much more than usual, but not eating much(like less than normal). Could it be a growth spurt? We see her dr tomorrow.

My bub isn't nursing as much right now and she is definitely more tired so I was wondering the same thing. She will nurse for 2-5 mins here and there throughout the day and then for 10ish minutes prior to naps. I try to offer the breast more but she's not into it so I just pump and roll with it. My doctor said some babies really enjoy solids and "forget" about boob for a bit and then it all evens out after the novelty of the new foods wear off. As long as your baby is hydrated and fed enough that they are satisfied I wouldn't worry. Your baby will let you know if they're hungry just watch their hydration.

My son has just started sleeping through the night, but he's also nursing for shorter periods of time also. He still nurses every 2 - 2.5 hours. I know he's hungry when I go to feed him because he basically tries to pull my bra off for me (typical male). 😂 He'll nurse for usually 3-6 minutes and he's done. (He used to eat for about 10.)

Our pediatrician said it is very normal for a baby to go through a nursing strike.  That is why she wanted us to start solids at 4 months but we did our own research and started at 6 months.  She won't eat less per feeding yet but will go longer between feedings so she might eat 25oz in a day instead of her normal 30oz.
