Do you prioritize purchasing products made in your country over other countries?

Please explain why you do or don't.

I usually do when it comes to food products. A lot of our island's profit basis itself on agriculture. So I like to support local farmers in that sense. 
Plus, there's a lot of traveling required for produce to be imported to our island. So by shopping locally, I at least hope that I'm not contributing to more pollution 😂 who knows though.

If it's affordable I will but sometimes products from your own country is a lot more expensive. I'm on a budget so sometimes it isn't possible.

If I'm buying usual stuff I don't pay attention. If I'm buying from a artisan then I usually know it's not mass produced.

I do. Typically if America makes an item in another country, I can't afford it or children labor laws don't exist there.

Trying to buy local and supporting other black owned businesses is hard enough as it is.

Old me would just buy whatever from wherever but new me is trying to be more aware of what I'm buying particularly where it comes from and even sometimes the materials it's made. I try to with a lot of products now opt for environmentally friendly options or from places that don't pay slave wages, ect.  or I go to second hand/thrift stores. Yes a lot of times it's more expensive(except thrift stores are cheaper), but I feel better about doing the right thing even if it costs me a little extra, I think those options should be made cheaper so that people who can't afford them can afford them, our world would be so much better if the good things were the demand and corporations weren't so greedy.

It depends. I actively avoid buying clothing that's manufactured and sold by a company in China, but this mostly comes from an ethical and quality standpoint. The price is way more than the cost to manufacture, yet that shit falls apart in one wash. 
If I'm able to, I try to get locally made products but it really depends on what I'm buying. I also think this comes from a place of privilege as not everyone is able to avoid products that are manufactured outside of the US.

For me it depends on the cheapest or best quality.

I'll always buy fish from Australian waters, and I'll always buy Australian fruits and veggies.
