Hip tattoo?

I was wondering how much did it hurt to get your hip done? I had my sternum done and it was pretty painful but just wondering if anyone knows if it comes to the ribs/sternum.

My first tattoo is on my hip and goes over my hip bone. I didnt really think it hurt at all. I guess it depends on your pain tolerance. The only tattoo I've got that kind of hurt was on my foot

i got one on my ribs but i have a fair amount of padding and high pain tolerance. honestly it depends on where your nerves are, but tattoos over bone and going to hurt more regardless.

I chose the more meaty part of my hip, under the hip bone. No complaints. In my experience, over bone = painful, over muscle or fat = not so painful. Good luck! 😊

Mine is right above my hip bone and towards my stomach...it felt like he was shaking my bladder the entire time. Such a weird feeling but it didn't hurt. It was not on my hip bone tho...so it could be different

It's bearable pain, it feels like a thin knife cutting you for a split second.. I know that sounds horrible I swear it's not THAT bad 😂

I have 5 tattoos but none of them are on my hip. But I asked my tattoo artist once what he thinks hurts the most and he says by far the area he gets most complains about in terms of pain is the hips. Moreso then the ribs. Doesn't mean you can't get through it though it just might take a couple of sessions instead of 1
