Do you lie to your kids?

I know lying is a sin but I seem to catch myself telling white lies to my child all the time... just like " you have to hold my hand outside or you'll blow away" if it's a windy day and it usually is where I live... stuff like that. I have been trying not to say these things but it works so well and sometimes just slips out without me even really realizing it. I know lots of people do lie to their kids I was just wondering if other Christians did...
