Do you think people who go to beauty school, as opposed to a 4 year university, are less intelligent or less than?

I'm about to enter my senior year of high school, so practically everyone I talk to is asking ,e which college I'm going to and what I plan to do. Many people seem almost disgusted when I tell them I'm going to a beauty school. Apparently it's a waste of time and I should go to a "normal school" and learn something worth while. So I'd like to get opinions here. Do you look down on people who go to a beauty school and not a university?
