Would you go?

Jacqueline

My husband had a work trip in Pittsburgh coming up. He said he's not looking forward to it because he really doesn't know anyone there. I'm considering going, but I am pregnant will be around 6 months, and I have a one year old. This normally wouldn't be an issue, but it will be me and my daughter basically until he gets out of work.

I just don't know if I want to wander a new city by myself, and if this hotel we'd be staying at has a pool I guess I could hang out by that until my husband gets back? Idk food for thought, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I used to go up there for work all the time by myself! I love it! especially if you're staying in Pittsburgh there is a lot to do. I would go! it'll be a nice little get away

I'd check his itinerary , if his company sent him there. I was going to go on a trip with my husband but they had events booked solid from about 730- sometimes 10 pm... i opted out . But going with your daughter seems fine.

They even had his breakfast booked, and most dinners as events, and they had box seats for a baseball game, im like they don't give u a break for 4 days straight??

Good point. I think he gets it next week. So I guess a portion of this trip depends on his schedule.

Think of it as your baby moon! Spend time with your daughter before the new one arrives.

I used to go on all of my husband's business trips/conferences before having my son. I'd enjoy myself and loved touring the city while he went to work. Then he'd get off and we'd relax in hotel, change for dinner, then walk around whatever city we were in. Wish I still could but now we have a 15 ninth old and baby #2 due next month. I dunno if I'd go with a one year old though, to be honest.

I say they only because of my son's sleep schedule. He sleeps at 7:30pm and they would mean we'd have to be in our hotel room by 7pm. Wouldn't be able to go out to dinner and we'd have to have lights dimmed in the room and not make too much noise since he'd be sleeping.

What could it hurt. Think of it as a mini vacation. Relax by the pool. Spend time in a new city. It could be fun

Yes I would definitely go. Sounds fun!! Walk around and explore,  ring your daughter to a museum or zoo and then hang out with your husband when he's done. I would love to do this.
