What should I do?!

Had a long talk with my crush the other day, during which we both shared how we have feelings for each other. I really want to date him but things are complicated. He admitted that he also has feelings for a mutual friend of ours and that he's not in a place where he can be in a relationship right now but as soon as he is, I'm the one he wants to date. I can't wait around forever but yet I've liked him for over 2 years now. Should I just give up on him? He also suggested that maybe in the meantime we should be friends with benefits, which I think is not a good idea. Help me!!

friends with benefits is just an excuse for a guy to get the "benefits" of a relationship without the actual commitments! personally if he's not ready for you now you shouldn't have to wait around for him to be. when ever that COULD be. he might make you wait then go find someone else.

I think if it's fate it'll happen. So do you and let him do him. IF you happen to meet someone else along the way then you'll know. But I'd say to stay friends. Just be happy as friends and see what happens. You never know now that you both know how each other feels

Friends with benefits is a terrible idea because then you could find out that you both don't have feelings for each other. Also don't wait around for someone to long because there are other fish in the sea girl. Just some friendly advice you don't have to take it but I thought it would help!!!

Yes give up. He has too much room in his heart. He can date you and sleep with others. I don't want to sound mean, but you spent two years liking him all the while he may not really have felt the same instead he may see this as an opportunity for something else. Take some time looking for other men with incredible personalities who will only have room in their hearts for you.

Thanks ladies! It's tough sometimes to know when to give up and move on and you all just reaffirmed that I'd make the right decision by walking away. We work together so we'll always be friends but it's definitely not worth my time to wait for him to come around!
