Goat ribs (fresh from the farm) for dinner...should I eat?

My MIL is making goat ribs for dinner. My concern is that said goat was walking around on their farm a few weeks ago so the meat isn't FDA regulated or anything. Am I being overly cautious and paranoid or should I be good?

I think you re being paranoid lol. I would rather eat the animals that are raised on my family's land, than store bought. But this is my personal opinion.

I would totally eat it! Yum :) at least you know there aren't any hormones or steroids etc in the meat.

I don't see why u can't, my family raise and butcher our own hog so I don't see a difference. I also eat deer meat. Also my mom use to work at a chicken factory and if you knew what went on there you would raise your own food to eat. Also long as it's cooked thoroughly you should be good. Ps I live in the country so it's not a big deal from where I'm from

I think as long as it's thoroughly cooked you're totally fine! It is probably better than any free range organic meat you'll buy at the grocery store! I am looking forward to goat and baby lamb fresh from the local farm for Greek Easter in a couple weeks :-)

I figured people in other countries ate goat...I'm more of a chicken and turkey person myself
