Legal unassisted birth?

I want to give birth with only my partner present at home. How do I start? What are the steps? Is it legal for me to do so in ontario Canada? What was your experience? I have so many questions 😂

Not sure about legal stuff, but honestly that's not very safe. If you want to do it at home, I'd find a midwife. Either way, you'll have to bring the baby and yourself to the hospital at some point to get checked out and get an official birth certificate and stuff. Even the midwife isn't licensed to give you an official medical exam.

Put your ego aside. Medical professionals attend births for a reason! Pregnancy and delivery are one of the most dangerous times in a woman's life.

If you want the best for your baby, go to a hospital or have a midwife/doctor/professional come to your home. You have no idea what complications there might be that could end up 10x worse on your own

it's legal in the US, unsure about Canada.. what are they going to do though? throw you in jail for delivering too quickly to get to the car?

What's the main reason you don't want a professional present? There is likely a safe solution to whatever obstacle there is for you. 
So, so many things can happen during labor and delivery that require a trained professionals intervention. I would seek out someone you are comfortable working with that can assist as needed.

How do you start? You start by going to the dr then travel yourself to the hospital! And pray the baby makes it healthy and alive!
