UPDATED: Can it be too early to send sympathy flowers
My bfs grandpa is dying in hospital. He only has a couple of days or hours. They don't know. Him and his mum are both so upset and really having trouble coping. I know a company that sends next day flowers and teddies. Do I have to wait until he dies before I should order them or can I do it earlier with the card reading "sending you love and thinking of you through this difficult time."? I'm not trying to be insensitive I just thought it might be nice. Are there rules for this?
UPDATE. I didn't send flowers early, he passed away last night. I asked my boyfriends permission and he said it would be weird if I sent his mum flowers at all because I never met the grandpa. This makes me feel uncomfortable. It's in my nature to do something nice like send flowers and I feel incredibly rude not too. I know I need to respect what my bf says but it just doesn't feel right to do nothing.
