implantation bleeding...is it different if you have just had a d and c

Hi all...i had a d and c at the end of May (I was 10 weeks) and had a normal period at the end of June. yesterday all the sudden blood just came out bright red like it was a period. however after i cleaned myself up that was it. Is it possible this could be implantation bleeding? My period isn't due for another 5 days or so. I wasn't sure since the lining was all fresh and clean from a d and c of this could cause the bright red spotting I had. anyone ever experience this?
