Cramps???

Had a previous miscarriage in September 2014 been Ttc since June 2013 period was due last week on Friday so 8 days late got a faint positive on wed but a strong one today. I'm so scared of losing this baby. Did it take any of you ladies a while for your test to be positive? Also  since I was due my period ive been cramping & still am now is this normal? I'm so scared cramping comes & goes sometimes it's just light but today I've had to take paracetamol. Still hasn't sunk in im pregnant doesn't seem real!!
