Are you crazy OCD?

Made my husband wash his hands after petting the neighbors dog and then I went and wiped down everything he'd touched with Clorox wipes... mind you, we own a dog... I just don't want other dog germs in my house. 😂 I know, I'm crazy.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is an actual mental disease. It's not a joke at all. As someone who actually suffers from the disease, it's really not something where you go and clean stuff because you don't like dog germs. Having OCD is the NEED to clean something for no logical reason (or many other OCD symptoms). You cannot actually stop yourself unless you've had treatment of some sort. 
Lots of people like being clean and tidy. Lots of people don't like germs from other people or animals. But that's not 'crazy OCD'. Mental disorders are not a joke that people get to play around with. If you actually had OCD I can pretty much guarantee that you wouldn't be making a joke pill about it on this community. Because OCD is not a joke at all. It's something I worry about every day and take proactive precautions constancy to ensure that my OCD doesn't interfere with my job, life, friends and family. Because its horrible to have. It's awful. I handle it better than a lot of people, but its still not funny. You don't make jokes about depression because it's a mental health problem. Well OCD is the same thing- it's an actual mental health problem that actually affects actual people.

The proper term would be obsessive compulsive tendencies as the actual disorder is much more destructive and overwhelming. That said, I've always washed my hands after touching anyone's pet that isn't mine lol. Stems from when I was little and my neighbor had over 20 cats who sometimes had ringworm so my mom would make me wash my hands so after being over there. It's a habit that isn't entirely awful lol.

I don't own pets not ever going to... but my MIL has a dog and whenever it wants to be petted I wash or sanitize my hands immediately... when walking in the house from work etc first thing I do is wash my hands... I constantly wipe door jobs drivers steering wheel door etc... yeah I think I'm a slight germaphobe

I don't think that's bad. I LOVE dogs and I play with every dog I see. I own a dog and we treat him like a person because he's part of the family. We bathe him, we wipe his face, and when we take him out to use the bathroom we wipe his butt with a baby wipe. 🤷🏾‍♀️
The reason that I say all that is because with our own dog, we know how clean he is but when it comes to other people's dogs, we don't know how well they keep up with their hygiene so you have to be more careful when it comes to germs.
It's kind of like when you go to a restaurant or someone else's house to eat and you automatically wipe off the silverware because you don't know how well they clean their things.
