How long is too long??

How long is too long to have space. I told my S:O that we should have some space. I've changed my number just so he would t contact me. Even when I block him he will call me blocked. I'm just really fed up with the way he acts and how he talks to me. Today he told me something that really hurt mi feelings and I told him that I need some space. I'm afraid that if I give him space he will move on but then again I feel like if he does then it wasn't meant. I don't wanna loose him but he needs to learn how to treat me. I always get mad and call myself being firm with him but then he'll call and I forget everything he does or says. Therefore, he does it again. I believe he's a good man, but he still has some maturing to do. I don't wanna give up on him. I know he loves me but he has a lot he needs to change. Has anyone else taken space from their S/O????
