Not Allowed To Be A Tomboy In My Religion?

Hi everyone!

Since I am a tomboy, I have a problem which is hard for me to overcome. Sorry if this might seem too religious.

My religion (Islam), says that Women that act like men (and men that act like women) by the way the dress, behave, walk, etc, are punished and should be "kicked out of the household". They also said that these people are "not allowed to go to Paradise (Heaven)". Apparently, I have to act like a typical female, but I don't, and I don't really have control over that.

This made me reduce to tears as I can't even be myself anymore. My religion is forcing me to be someone I'm not. I'm proud of the way I am, and I like being a tomboy. This makes me feel as if God really dislikes me by cursing me to be who I am now. It would be nice if someone could really help me overcome this. I would like to be a Muslim, but I'm scared if being myself is considered "sinning". 😔
