Resize Wedding Ring?

About a week ago I took my ring off and was not able to get it back on. My hands and feet have swollen so much. I don't know if I should get my ring resized or not. It won't cost me anything but I am worried about having to resize it again later and maybe compromise the integrity of the metal (it is platinum). I don't know anything about it, that's just what is going through my head. What do you think?

I used to work in a jewelry store and we recommended buying a costume ring or silicone or something as replacement because it's hard to tell if your finger will swell more and have to get resized again, and resizing too much can ruin the integrity of the ring from cutting and adding and stretching the metal

I'm guessing the swelling is from pregnancy? If so do not resize it now your hands will go down within a couple months pp

Don't get it resized. You're swelling is from pregnancy and getting it resized for your duration of pregnancy is pointless because the swelling goes away right after. My husband got me a temporary wedding band in a bigger size for my pregnancy and I put away my engagement ring for now

I stopped being able to get mine back on at about 14 weeks. Resizing is included in my diamond plan but we decided not to as it will definitely compromise the integrity if I have to resize it back after birth. I was really upset not having my rings tho. Hubby found a very similar cz set for me to wear while I'm pregnant. Works perfectly! Makes me feel better and only cost about $50.

It took about 4 months post partum and then my ring fit again. I'd wait until then and see how it fits because you won't want to have it resized again, it's not good for the ring. In the meantime I bought an inexpensive silver band because I didn't want to go without a ring.

Wait till pregnancy is over! If you must wear a ring, get a temp or one of those silicone rings

I wouldn't resize it, I would probably just go get a cheap bigger sized ring to wear in the meantime until the swelling goes down

I would just put it away until after baby and bloating goes down. Maybe buy a cheap fake one to wear in the meantime?

Just stop wearing it until you are done giving birth your swelling will go down theirs no need in getting it resized if it will fit later and you have to pay twice. Just tell your man and im sure he'll understand
