Is it normal?

Is it normal that my heart rate has gone up like crazy since I found out I was pregnant. I'll wake up in the middle of the night and I can literally feel my heart beating through my chest most of the time. I can breathe fine and I'm not really alarmed  😐

lol as I read your post my heart was doing just that haha! It's normal according to my doctor. And even if you have it and start to feel short of breath later on in pregnancy i guess that's normal too due to your organs being all squished lol It freaked me out the first time i noticed the heart rate thing cause i was laying in bed literally doing nothing 😂

Absolutely. I have a fitbit with heart rate monitoring and my average was over 20 bpm higher while resting. You have about 50% more blood/fluids so it makes sense. You'll get out of breath very easily too, as you get bigger. I felt my heart racing even higher randomly (like above 120 while sitting) and sometimes saw stars, especially in the shower. My doctor assured me all was completely normal. As soon as baby was born, everything went back to normal.
