There is no way to guarantee the sex of your child. All the wives tales and home remedies are untrue. It's really the luck of the draw. You have what you have, and you will love your child regardless of their gender.

Wow such unhelpful comments! Haha. Of course it's 50/50... Everyone knows that! But the common wife's tale is that the male sperm swim faster while the female sperm survive longer. 
So if you want to try for a girl, have sex several times during your fertile period until 2 days before ovulation, then stop. 
If you want a boy, have sex immediately the day of ovulation and probably the next day for good measure.
(BTW, when I first got prego 3 years ago, me and DH wanted a girl SO bad. Now that I have a boy all I want are BOYS. Haha!)

We did too :-/ now we are not sure of we can have anymore...at this point all I want is another baby..my fertility dr told me it's all 50/50 unless you wanted to hand pick the girls and do Ivf or iui :-/ that's a lot of money and no guarentees ;)
