I really want to do something like box braids for labor/first month or so with baby. But my issue isnt the practicality of it (seriously love the style) but that I don't want to be culturally insensitive. I'm very white. German white. So pale I blind people as I walk by. And I don't know if it would be appropriate for me to have this hair style, even though I think it's gorgeous and easyish to maintain while stretched thin with a newborn and my kids. I'm really afraid of being offensive or backlash that may come from pursuing the style. So please. I'd love your HONEST opinions on it. Would it be okay for me to have box braids, or would it be culturally rude, offensive, or insensitive? Because that's the last thing I want. Thank you in advance.
