So I keep reading articles about how male birth control is closer and closer to being developed or will hit the market soon.

One type I just read about is a gel injection which still lets the man ejaculate but prevents sperm from coming out.

I think this is an awesome option and if I had a long-term male partner I would love for him to be on it. But then, I think I'm too much of a control freak and would still want to be on the pill(/and use condoms with random dudes).

What do you all think? Would you encourage your man to use birth control when it comes out? Or would you prefer to stick to whatever you're using now? Do you also feel like being on birth control is empowering or a form of taking control or do you think it's more of a nuisance?
