Pcos and pregnancy..?

Question

If you have pcos, and get pregnant, is your pregnancy considered "high risk"? Or if you've had a miscarriage and then been diagnosed with pcos? Would it be considered "high risk" then?

Hmmm I guess I'm not sure. I'm all of the above plus twins and 35...so I'm not really sure which cause me to be high risk...all of the above?? I did have a lot of early testing and ultrasounds with my RE. I did genetic blood tests (waiting for results) and will have a lot more monitoring throughout my pregnancy. I'm almost 12 weeks now.

I think it might be up to the individual and their doctor...
For instance, if someone had a history of miscarriages then the dr might make them a high risk- 
Sometimes when an individual has blood sugar problems- gestational or not they can be considered high risk-
And lots of other combos that could be likely to happen in women with PCOS... But by no means does it really mean that if you have PCOS that you will definitely be high risk though!
Good question though- it makes me wonder myself!!!

I was high risk but more due to having 1 past miscarriage. 
If you get gd then that will make you high risk aswell.
Pcos itself with no presenting problems during pregnancy will mean your categorized as "normal pregnancy" in my experience.
Do expsect more through testing though especially towards the end of pregnancy due to pre-eclampsia

1 previous miscarriage shouldn't make you high risk unless there were unusual circumstances.
PCOS shouldn't in itself make you high risk either although it does increase the risk of gestational diabetes.  I had GD and had to be put on insulin so I had non stress tests every week and extra ultrasounds to monitor baby.  Was induced prior to my due date as well.

I had pcos when I was pregnant with my son, it makes you more susceptible to pre-eclampsia, so they keep an extra eye out for signs of that, but I wouldn't know about the rainbow baby bit, sorry, best wishes
