How many diapers?

How many diaper boxes does your baby go through till they grow to the next size. What size of boxes are you buying?

I don't do diapers like most people.... (I stick with jumbo packs and get a gift receipt whenever possible because I can exchange them for another size) I buy a pack or two of newborns. I'll do 2-3 of size 1, 2 of 2s, then 3-4 of 3s. From then on I'll either buy them on sale or just buy gift cards and write the amount on them... 
My oldest daughter was tiny. She never outgrew size 3s before potty training. My son was a bear.... he gained a pound a week until he was 2.... A POUND A WEEK. 
My youngest is currently in 6s and will be two in September but we have started potty training. ( I usually start when they start walking but I've been so lazy with her, my oldest was done during the day at this age) 
If I can coupon them and get them under $5 a jumbo pack, I buy them then and there. If I can't or I'm worried about trying a different brand, I just buy myself gift cards because it is a forced savings for diapers but if it's 3am and it's been a rough week and I need children's Tylenol, I can grab it in lieu of diapers and not have to sweat it.

Mine was in new born for about a month. She was a big baby, size 1 until 3 months and now she just went to size 2
