Done with MIL!!!

Ok so my MIL, has turned down coming over and spending time with us for the past 2 months now. She said she was gonna give us a playpen and her son a few gaming chairs (which she did, not the playpen). She makes absolutely no time for us at all but wants to be involved in this babies life. How can one do that? So, I didn't invite her to the gender reveal knowing w/o a doubt she'll make an excuse about not being able to make it or something. So i didn't even bother. So should i just leave her completely out of it? That's how I'm feeling and I have no remorse towards the decision. She doesn't want to make time for us. Then don't bother try making time for our child. Am I wrong?
