Eyebrow wax...

So I brought the girls I nanny to a spa thing today where they got free facials and I got a free eyebrow wax. I didn't know about the free wax I said why not and did it. I keep my brows shaped by plucking so she just did clean up, literally three strips and it was done so she showed me in the mirror and I was like "Oh wow looks nice!" And smoothed my brow out. She said "as nice as your skin looks your hands are dirty so don't touch it." It was pretty abrasive the way she said it and then she just walked away. I know it was free so I didn't expect amazing treatment but now I'm worried because the area hurts and I touched it a couple times by accident so should I be worried?? Like I get Brazilians and have never had a problem but she never explained if it can get infected or WHAT would happen if I touched the skin and for how long I needed to not touch it! Any advice??
